Fibres, Filaments and Non-Wovens

Synthetic fibres are made from polymers which do not occur naturally. Melt spun fibre types include, staple fibres, filament (mono and multi) and non-wovens. End applications can include:

  • Apparel
  • Geotextiles
  • Carpet and flooring
  • Nets, ropes & technical yarns
  • Medical

The most common fibres are polyolefins, polyamides and polyesters. Hubron’s range of black masterbatches for the fibre industry provide excellent dispersion observed via low filter pressure values (EN13900-5) which result in low screen pack build up, long term spin performance, less changeovers and reduced waste.

Masterbatches dedicated for fibre applications are designed with polymer compatibility and viscosity in mind, ensuring minimal impact on mechanical properties whilst selecting the best carbon’s for the application and superior dispersion offer the jettest colour and fastness.
