Hubron manufacture a range of masterbatches for high quality film and sheet applications. These grades are based on pigment carbon blacks specially selected with quality in mind to provide superior opacity, colour, UV absorption to improve the performance of film or sheet in packaging, agriculture or industrial applications.

Requirements for dispersion will vary depending on the application, Hubron can tailor dispersion quality to meet customer needs offering grades suitable down to 15µm gauge.

Black stablised films can be subject to thermal degradation therefore the use of an antioxidant maybe required to for film with a longer service life.

Carbon black can interact with other addities such as UV additives, slip, or other migrating additives, which maybe used in film applications.

Food packaging requires carbon blacks which meet purity criteria outlined in (EU) 10/2011, and for FDA compliance purity requirements. Hubron masterbatches are PFAS free.

• Blown film: Good mechanical strenght, and punctrure resistance used for bags, agricultural film, pallet wrap and flexible packaging
• Cast film: Provides higher clarity and gloss, with uniform thickness used for food packaging, labels, tapes and medical packaging
• Biaxially oriented film: Superior strength and stiffness, providing excellent barrier properties with high clarity used for thiinner gauge high end consumer good, laminates and labels.
