Polymers are susceptible to degradation by exposure to heat and ultraviolet radiation in sunlight. This can cause a reduction in physical properties leading to colour change, embrittlement and potentially failure in service life. To help mitigate against this process stabilisers can be added during part manufacturing, in the form of pre-dispersed masterbatches.

Hubron have designed a range of additive masterbatch products that provide UV and thermal stabilisation to combat these negative effects. They improve processing by reducing thermo-oxidative degradation, offer better long-term thermal stability, give extended life and higher quality final part appearance.

Products are available with different carriers: from polyolefins, to engineering plastics.
